Red Wing Area Chamber Highlights Board Member Alyson Albers in 2025 Q&A Series
Red Wing, MN – April 2025 – As part of the Red Wing Area Chamber’s ongoing effort to showcase the passionate leaders driving our community forward, we’re excited to feature Board Member & 2025 Board Chair Alyson Albers, Administrator and Owner of Falk Auto Body and Glass, in this week’s Board Q&A spotlight series.

Can you tell us about your professional background and how it led you to our Chamber of Commerce?
  • I have spent over ten years in management positions prior to joining the team at Falk Auto Body and Glass.  My husband asked me to join the team when we purchased the business in 2022 so that we could work alongside one another and ensure success of the business.  Since I was new to the Red Wing business community, joining the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was an excellent opportunity to meet with business professionals and be involved in making our community great.
In your view, what are the most significant impacts our Chamber has on the community?
  • I think one of the most significant impacts our Chamber has is the advocacy we provide for our business community.  The Chamber is constantly looking for ways to enhance experiences and give growth and learning opportunities to everyone so they can be successful.
What do you see as the biggest challenges facing our local business community?
  • One of the biggest challenges I feel our local business community is facing is the struggle to hire and retain quality employees.  There are many contributing factors to this issue, so we need to be creative in the ways we choose to resolve the issue.  Supporting the businesses with the best hiring and retention practices is a big part of it.  However, we also need to ensure those great employees have comfortable places to live when they work here in Red Wing, along with opportunities for their loved ones (ie. School, day care, etc.).  This topic is discussed often in our business community, so it is top-of-mind for our Chamber Board.
What advice would you give to someone starting their own business in our community?
  • Be patient!  Everything worth doing takes time (not my quote 😊 ) so know that it may take longer than you expect to get approvals, plans, etc. but if you persevere through the red tape, it is all worth it!
Outside of your work with the Chamber, what are some of your interests or hobbies?
  • I love spending time with my family.  My husband and I have a daughter and son that keep us pretty busy with sports and activities.  We also love being outdoors together and taking rides in our UTV.
What future chamber initiatives excite you most and why?
  • I am looking forward to our initiative to support local voters with more specific voter education materials.  Our Chamber is working to develop materials that will give local voters precise information about candidates in our community so they can make informed decisions at the polls each time.
