Tinta Wita Wacipi Prairie Island Indian Pow Wow
The Prairie Island Indian Community welcomes you to the annual Wacipi Dance Championships and Singing contest during the Wacipi Celebration July 12-14. Experience Native American history and traditions through these exciting competitions. Grand Entry performances begin the celebration each day starting on Friday, July 12 at 7pm; Saturday, July 13 at 1pm and 7pm; and Sunday, July 14 at 1pm. Come to watch, listen and feel Native American culture and history come to life. Visit the many vendor booths or try a variety of Native foods that are available. The celebration is held outdoors next to Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Admission to the Wacipi Celebration is free and open to all ages.
