Minnesota State College Southeast—308 Pioneer Road
This is your chance to tour the new Bicycle Design & Fabrication Lab, Welding Lab and Maker Space at the college. The new Bicycle Design program has been a huge hit and was Full this year with 18 students from all over the country! Students learn all facets of manufacturing and actually make their own bikes during the class utilizing the welding lab as well! The Makerspace is a collaborative project with Red Wing Ignite and is a regional resource to design, create and innovate. Designers, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Hobbyists and Community Members can build prototypes and models of projects they are working on using specialized equipment in a controlled environment. Public Tour Guidelines:
- Attendees must register through the Chamber Office prior to all tours.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time to allow for check in at locations. Tours will begin on time!
- All tours are limited to a maximum of 25 attendees.
- Tours are FREE and open to the public (unless specified).
- Tours are one hour in length (unless specified).
- Closed heel and closed toe shoes (no high heels) must be worn on all tours.
- NO cell phones and/or pictures or videos are allowed during the tours.
- Photo ids may be required at certain locations.
- Must be at least 16 years of age to tour.
- You can go on as many tours as your schedule allows.
