November 18—Oakwood Cemetery Hike
The Red Wing Park Naturalist and Goodhue County Historical Society staff are partnering to bring you an informative hike through Oakwood Cemetery. Learn about the history of Oakwood Cemetery and visit some of its notable grave sites while enjoying the natural beauty of the wooded bluffs. We will be hiking on a short trail through the woods to reach the top of the bluff where the grave sites are located. Plan on hiking/walking at a leisurely pace for about an hour in total. Meet at the gates of Oakwood Cemetery at the end of East Avenue. If you prefer to skip the hike and would like to drive into the cemetery, let the park naturalist know this at the start of the program to receive directions.
