March 20—7PM (Doors open at 6:30PM)—The League of Women Voters-Red Wing and the Red Wing School District #256 are co-sponsoring a presentation by Dr. Tom Melcher, Director of the School Finance Division at the Minnesota Department of Education for the last of the series on “Money in Politics—and Government.” The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Melcher will address funding of Public Education in Minnesota: What informed citizens need to know. This informative presentation is free of charge and open to all community members including parents, teachers, and anyone else who wants to understand the puzzle of public school funding. This event will be at the Red Wing Public Library, 225 East Avenue.
