August 27, 8-10am: Monarch Tagging. $12
Join the Park Naturalists as we tag Monarch Butterflies in conjunction with the Monarch Watch Tagging Program--a large-scale community science project that helps scientists to better understand the incredible journey of the Monarch Butterfly. We will show you how to safely capture, tag and record data that will be submitted to the Monarch Tagging Program’s database. We will go out to the prairies on top of Memorial Bluff in search of butterflies starting from the Lower Quarry. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather
