County History Center (GCHC) Events
January 7—Free Family Fun Day – Jacqueline West & Norwegian Paper Crafts—Noon-3PM.. The new exhibit New Land, New Life: Norwegian Immigration to Minnesota opens. At noon, everyone can make a special paper heart, reminiscent of traditional Norwegian crafts. At 1PM, Red Wing native and New York Times bestselling author Jacqueline West will read from her famous Books from Elsewhere series and lead the group in hands-on writing activities. The History Center opens at 9AM, but free admission and hand-on activiities begin at noon. Goodhue County History Center is located at 1166 Oak Street in Red Wing.
